AHA Selects First Hair Donor Support Program Participant of 2026

Angel Hair Association (AHA) has selected its first hair donor support program participant of 2026, recognizing Rena Park for beginning her journey to grow her hair for donation. Rena will grow her hair throughout the year before donating it to an established wig nonprofit that serves children experiencing medical hair loss.

As part of AHA’s support program, hair donors receive periodic hair-care supplies such as shampoo and conditioner to help maintain healthy hair during the growing phase. On Sunday, AHA President Ian Rhee presented the first welcome set of hair-care products to Rena during a community outreach event.

“Growing hair for donation takes time, care, and dedication,” said Rhee. “Our role is to support young donors while they grow their hair and to celebrate their commitment along the way.”

AHA does not collect hair or produce wigs. Instead, the organization provides encouragement, resources, and recognition to youth donors and guides them to established wig nonprofits when they are ready to donate.
